Our Most Valuable Asset As An Entrepreneur

I used to believe that time was my most valuable asset as an entrepreneur. Over the years, I’ve changed my mind – it’s not time, it’s energy. Because without energy, even the best use of time means nothing. This past week, I’ve been unwell and mostly in bed. I was reminded how essential it is to manage my energy with wisdom. I’m glad I listened to my body: I slept more, cleared space in my calendar, sipped endless cups of ginger lemon honey, and allowed myself to just rest. For someone usually associated with high energy, slowing down hasn’t always been easy. But it’s been necessary. And here’s the truth I’m learning to embody: Self-care is not selfish. It is a strategy. If we want to build sustainably, the most precious gift is to learn to protect and replenish our energy. Without that, a sustainable pace isn’t possible. Are you able to slow down when your body needs it? What’s your practice for honoring your energy?

20,000 Moments In A Waking Day

You don’t live life in years, months, or even days. You live it in moments – about 20,000 of them, every single day. According to Nobel Prize-winning scientist, Daniel Kahneman, humans experience about 20,000 moments in a waking day – each one lasting roughly 3 seconds. But what is a “moment,” exactly? Interestingly, the word moment comes from medieval times, when a momentum was a unit of time… lasting 90 seconds. Somewhere along the way, our definition shifted – and yet, the meaning stayed the same: A moment is simply a sliver of time. Short. Fleeting. Precious. The question is: what are we doing with the ones we get? Are we waiting for the “big moments”? Or are we savoring the 20,000 small ones that actually make up our lives? Here’s the thing: we don’t have to wait for the perfect moment to begin. Starting doesn’t mean having it all figured out. It means taking one small step forward. Because once you begin… the rest unfolds. Moments stack. One after another. And before you know it, you’re in motion. As Dr. David Drake, Founder of Narrative Coaching, beautifully says, “Our curriculum is this moment.” Not tomorrow. Not someday. Not when it’s perfect. But this moment – raw, real, alive. Today, I’m choosing to notice the small ones – the burst of green in my vegetable garden, a beautiful gesture from a friend, the view from my bedroom, the energy and joy after a morning workout. Because stacked together, these little moments create the life I want. Over to you… Which of your 20,000 moments today has brought you the most joy?

My 10K Run at The Wipro Bengaluru Marathon

Find a group of people who challenge and inspire you, spend a lot of time with them, and it will change your life forever. – Amy Poehler My 10k charity run at the Wipro Bengaluru Marathon was exactly that. I’ve been part of Runnershigh, an incredibly supportive running club – for over a year now. My fitness journey has been filled with fun, crazy family vibes, and the guidance of coaches who bring discipline, heart and focus. I was thrilled to get a late entry into the 10k charity run. I had been preparing with my RH coaches for months. I had taken a short break from training to recover from a fever. On race morning, I questioned my fitness and wondered if I’d be able to run & achieve my goal. Here’s what helped me: How I began: I reminded myself that one tough week of being unwell didn’t erase months of preparation. My training was already in me. What I was telling myself: Throughout the run I kept repeating: I can do it. I am unstoppable. I am boringly consistent. I believe that my language shaped the run. How I decided to enjoy it: I put away my phone. No photos on the route. I wanted to savour the moments, be inspired by others along the way, and to support others. What I realised: While it looked like a solo effort, every step was fuelled by the community, the support crew, my coaches, my running buddy, words of encouragement from my family, and the shared wisdom of my tribe. The truth this run reinforced for me, we’re more capable than we think. We are not meant to do this thing called life alone.

There’s Only 100 Days Left in 2025

Have you ever walked past a construction site day after day and it feels like nothing is happening? And then suddenly, voilà, a building seems to rise out of nowhere. What we don’t see is the consistent work: the foundation being laid, the structures tested, the unseen effort that makes the invisible visible. Growth often looks the same. It may feel slow on the outside, but beneath the surface, something powerful is taking shape. Time and again, I hear leaders say, “I know what I need to do, I just don’t seem to get down to it.” The real challenge is commitment – simply deciding to do something and prioritizing it. Clarity, readiness, and confidence are secondary. They don’t come first, they emerge because of commitment. When you commit, everything shifts. It is the quiet, repeated actions, the foundations laid brick by brick, that make the breakthroughs possible. With 100 days left in 2025, what’s the one commitment that could unlock extraordinary results – for yourself, your team, or your organization?

LinkedIn Just Got Real

LinkedIn got REAL for me! In August, I said YES to a #LinkedIn challenge that led to a surprise invitation to the first LinkedIn Insider Connect in Bangalore. The moment I stepped into the LinkedIn office, I experienced the heartbeat of LinkedIn – creators, Top Voices, the stories and possibilities. It wasn’t just a digital space anymore. It felt real. When Kumaresh Pattabiraman, Head of LinkedIn India, shared that every piece of content we share has the potential to create economic opportunity for someone, this touched me deeply. Thank you Raunak, Rakshit and Preethi Ramamoorthy for making this experience possible. At the heart of my writing on Linkedin is a mantra: “Give it all away.” I’ve enjoyed expressing authentically, sharing stories of courage, and sparking possibility. This practice amplified my messages and touched lives I may never meet. LinkedIn isn’t just where we share. It’s where we belong, if we dare to show up. What has LinkedIn amplified for you?
