What makes someone unforgettable as a leader?
Every leader needs a leadership signature. It’s what people remember about you long after you’ve left the room. It’s created by choice and reinforced through consistency.
Here are three ideas I walked away with:
- Choose your three words. Be intentional about what you want to be known for and let your content, conversations and actions reinforce them.
- Visibility matters. Your accomplishments don’t always speak for themselves. Sharing your work isn’t showing off when it’s based on facts; it’s how people discover the value you create.
- Consistency builds trust. A leadership signature isn’t built in a day. It’s shaped by showing up consistently over time.
It also left me reflecting on a question I often ask my coaching clients: If the people you lead described you in just three words, what would they say?
